This blog is inspired by a study of gifted children who were participants of a pedagogical and psychological support program. The study was held in southern Russia in 2016 and consisted of various stages. The different activities these children took part in included analyzing fairytales, learning drama techniques, and a variety of games specialized on certain skills. This way, researchers are hoping to “…detect, comprehend and explain giftedness as well as to find ways for its efficient development” (Kulikovskaya 53).
Kulilovskaya and Andrienko intend to reach not only the system of education in Russia, but also the parents of children around the world hoping to increase children’s cognitive abilities, among others. Its sole purpose is to change the world’s view on gifted children and attend to their needs since the very beginning of their education.
